What We're Reading Now
Our Staff Picks include some of the top titles available at H.A. Peine District Library. This collection has something enjoyable for everyone - from seasoned readers to young bookworms. Contact us or stop by for more information.
Barb says, "I'm reading Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple. This book is the April pick for our monthly book club."
Mary Kay says, "I just finished reading Susan Mallery's new book The Bookstore Diaries. I really like the book. It is about a divorced woman Jax who owns a bookstore that has been in her family for years. Jax is a woman who has a slight control issue that she doesn't really realized. The storyline focuses on her family and an accident at the bookstore. It's a very good read. I highly recommend it!"
Anita says, "I am reading the historical fiction novel All Our Yesterdays by Joel H. Morris. This novel is a retelling of Shakespeare's play Macbeth but is told from the dual viewpoints of Lady Macbeth and her son. I'm actually enjoying this novel better than the original Shakespeare play because it feels updated and more modern."
Stacy says "I am currently reading The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11. It is a true account from people who survived 9/11. It is very well written and I am finding out facts that I did not know. I do recommend it, but it is taking me awhile to read it because of the heavy content."
